Our Mission
We improve the lives of people we serve by maximizing their physical capabilities while guiding them toward overall wellness.
Dr. Molly Poenitzsch and Dr. James Poenitzsch met while pursuing their Doctor of Physical Therapy degrees at Texas Woman’s University in Houston, Texas. Now married and living in Pearland, Texas, they share interests in exercise, volunteering, their pet dogs, participating in community events, and improving the lives of others through health and well-being.
Molly Poenitzsch
PT, DPT, COMT, CSCS, CYT

Molly began her active lifestyle at a very young age. She’s earned a 3rd-degree black belt in TaeKwonDo and continues to remain active in sports including swimming, running, and biking. Molly is an accomplished pianist and enjoys cooking healthy meals, gardening, exercising, volunteering in the community and walking Lola and Luna, she & James’ canine family members.
Molly has completed 3 half marathons, 1 sprint triathlon, and 1 Olympic triathlon. Molly loves educating and encouraging people toward healthy lifestyles so that they can continue to enjoy what they do.

James Poenitzsch
PT, DPT, COMT, CSCS

Growing up on a Texas ranch introduced James to a love of the outdoors. An active sportsman, James enjoys playing football, hockey and golf. He enjoys archery, deer hunting, gardening, landscaping, hiking, biking and walking and running with he and Molly’s dogs, Lola and Luna. He’s also a woodworker and enjoys creating things in his garage. Giving back to the community is important to James, and he is an active community volunteer. James chose the physical therapy profession as he loves enriching the lives of others through exercise and education.

Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT)

Molly and James both completed their Doctor of Physical Therapy programs at Texas Woman’s University in Houston. After a bachelor’s degree has been attained, a doctoral degree in physical therapy may be pursued. The DPT is typically a 3-year program with clinical rotations and an internship.

Certified Orthopedic Manual Therapist (COMT)

Molly and James both completed their Certified Orthopedic Manual Therapist programs through OPTIM Manual Therapy in Houston. Caleigh is currently participating in the program. Becoming a COMT adds advanced manual therapy skills for the Doctor of Physical Therapy.

Plant-based Nutritionist

Molly is a certified plant-based nutritionist and provides individual education about plant-based nutrition.

Certified Yoga Teacher (CYT)

Molly is a Certified Yoga Teacher and teaches therapeutic yoga classes at Live to Move Physical Therapy & Wellness.

Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS)

Molly and James are both Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist. This certification is athletic and competition-oriented.

Fellowship of the American Academy of Orthopedic Manual Therapists

James is currently a fellow-in-training, working towards full fellowship status with the American Academy of Orthopedic Manual Therapists. Earning Fellow status is an advanced achievement for a physical therapist and requires a combination of advanced learning, years of experience and supervised mentorships with a current physical therapist with fellowship status.
